MADM: Webinar about "Reintegration into the Domestic Job Market"

In an interactive format organized by the German Association of Postgraduate Programmes with special Relevance to Developing Countries (AGEP) MADM students could learn about career options after graduation.

In July 2015, Dr. Julia Boger from the World University Service (WUS) offered a webinar on the topic "Reintegration into domestic job markets – easier said than done! How to successfully manage still reintegration into the job market of developing countries". Students are often concerned about potential career options, post-graduation; hence, we are happy that Dr. Boger, who wrote her dissertation about labour migration, presented valuable information on this subject.
The webinar was offered by the AGEP (German Association of Postgraduate Programmes with special Relevance to Developing Countries). Since the IEE is member of the AGEP, the webinar took place on the campus of the Ruhr-University Bochum. There, students from different programmes had the opportunity to network and share ideas. Candidates of the MADM programme met other students of the MA programme "Spatial Planning for Regions in Growing Economies" (SPRING), offered at the Technical University Dortmund. Most importantly, more than 60 additional participants joined the webinar via the internet, and actively participated in the discussion via chat. These participants were located all over the world, including South Africa, Chile, Kenya, Malaysia, and many more. The IEE is looking forward to further interesting events like these, offered by AGEP.
