EUSA_ID: Update on Staff Mobilities


Julian May NutritionTransitionProf. Julian May from our Partner University, University of the Western Cape/Cape Town (UWC), visited the IEE during his EUSA_ID staff mobility in December 2016. During his stay, he gave a lecture on "The scramble for Africa's food security: Food and nutrition trends in the Sub-Saharan economic powerhouses" (see picture above on the right (photo: private)). Prof. May will stay another 6 weeks in Paris at our Partner University Paris 1 (La Sorbonne).

Other researchers from the UWC will also collaborate with some of our European EUSA_ID partner institutions. Dr. Sharon Penderis will stay at the ISS in The Hague/Netherlands and the Université Bordeaux in 2017, while. Prof. Chris Tapscott will stay at the University of Duisburg/Essen and the University of Jyväskylä in Finland.

For the last wave of the 3rd Cohort, South African Staff can still apply for a mobility period at one of the European EUSA_ID partner universities. More information on available mobility scholarships can be found in the respective section of the website www.eusa-id.eu.

The deadline for this last call is 15th June 2017!
