For the exact date you should contact the embassy or DAAD office. Your documents will be forwarded to us via the DAAD head-office in Bonn, Germany.
New Scholarships from the "Landesstipendienprogramm"
For the 2010 intake it is the first time that we are able to offer 5 additional university scholarships financed from funds of the "Ministerium für Innovation, Wissenschaft, Forschung und Technologie" of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the "Landesstipendienprogramm". These scholarships are available for MADM participants from developing countries.
This stipend consists of 850 Euros per month plus travel subsidies.
Application deadline for these scholarships is the 31 December 2009 at the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy. No separate scholarship application form has to be completed. Just fill in the course application form and indicate that you wish to apply for a scholarship within the "Landesstipendienprogramm".
Other scholarship options:
Apart from DAAD, other organisations in Germany also provide support opportunities for foreign members of institutions of higher education. Some of these organisations, which are listed below, regularly support participants of the MADM.
Applicants are requested to contact these institutions directly for further information but keep us informed about any scholarship applications. Some of the institutions are represented abroad. If there is an office in your country, you should first contact it. Please get the addresses from German embassies.
The course application deadline for students who are planning to apply for scholarships of other donor organizations individually is 31 December 2009 at the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy.
