Our PhD IDS Student Emmanuel Monyei was a panelist at the Cambridge International Law Journal (CILJ) 13th Annual Conference which took place at the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge on the 8th and 9th of April, 2024.
The theme of the Conference was 'The Intersection of Peace and Sustainability in International Law.' Emmanuel's presentation was part of the panel session "Peace Through Environmental Sustainability in the Indo-Pacific Region" and consisted of four research project presentations. Emmanuel discussed the effect of climate change on peace in disappearing island states, in the Indo-Pacific region. He also examined how local adaptation can be more effective when interpreted as peacebuilding actions.
