From June 25 to 27, Prof. Rémi Bazillier visited the IEE and the Faculty of Economics of Ruhr-University Bochum. Rémi is professor of economics at the Centre d’Economie de la Sorbonne (CES, CNRS) of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. He has been cooperating with the IEE for several years, for example as academic supervisor in the ADAPTED project which is being coordinated at the IEE.

During his visit, Rémi held a presentation at the Chair for Development Research at the Faculty of Economics. There, he presented findings from his joint research with ADAPTED PhD student María Moraga Fernández on minimum wages in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Furthermore, Rémi chaired a session together with Prof. Löwenstein on how to conduct panel studies in economic research designs. Together with a group of IEE PhD students and research fellows, issues such as analytical methods and data structures were discussed based on individual research projects presented during the session.
