Short Profile
Anja works as scientific coordinator at the Center for Advanced Latin American Studies (CALAS) at the University of Kassel. In her doctoral research, she studies perceptions of development and transformation in the conflict about the valorization of nature in Argentina. After completing her Masters in Social Studies at Ruhr-University Bochum, Anja worked several years in German development cooperation for GIZ in Central Asia. Her main thematic interests are development theories as well as theories of social transformation. Further areas of interest are resource conflicts and decolonisation theories.
