Short Profile
David is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy at the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. He holds a Master's in International Development (Distinction) from the University of Portsmouth, UK, a Bachelor's of Education (first-class honours) from Lakehead University, Canada, and a Bachelor's of Arts from Carleton University, Canada. David worked as a consultant for a range of international organisations and NGOs where he carried out research, M&E, and programme management, and he was a secondary teacher for more than 10 years in Canada, Kuwait, and Thailand. He is an expert in education and adolescent participation, and passionate about gender and migration/refugee issues. His PhD research focuses on peacebuilding approaches among refugee and host communities, with a particular focus on education.
