Short Profile
Emmanuel is a DAAD funded scholar at Ruhr-University Bochum. He holds an LLB (summa cum laude) from the University of Benin, Nigeria, and is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor. He holds an LLM in International Law (summa cum laude) from the University of Hull, UK. Before joining IEE, Emmanuel worked as a volunteer humanitarian in Nigeria and as a lawyer with Folashade Alli & Associates and Aarndale Solicitors. He has worked with two companies in the United Kingdom under Innovate UK funded projects, on climate change and AI. He also interned at Cambridge University Press and Assessment and worked on climate projects. His PhD research focuses on alternatives to international law approaches for the protection of climate refugees.
