
Short Profile
Samuel Regina is a DAAD-funded Doctoral researcher whose research area is the political economy of development policy and governance, and how policies are translated and implemented across various governmental levels. He researches into structural and inter-governmental relations, especially in exploring the loopholes between policy formulation, translation and localization within decentralized governance systems. Samuel holds a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor's in education (Geography major) from the University of Eldoret. His broader research interests span foreign policy, diplomatic studies, sustainable development goal localization, and regional integration in Africa Before his PhD, Samuel volunteered as the Deputy Lead Researcher at the American Center of the Study of the United States (ACSUS), University of Nairobi where he managed policy research on US-Kenya bilateral relations and international development. He also has worked as a consultant to the IGAD Leadership Academy and IGAD Center of Excellence on PCVE curriculum development and strategic policy frameworks.
