IEE Postdoctoral Research Fellow Dr. Elkhan Richard Sadik-Zada has published a letter to the editor in the Journal of Cleaner Production. Building on Shevchenko et al.’s novel Circular Reconstruction Framework, Dr. Sadik-Zada proposes two practical extensions. First, the hierarchy would benefit from a crisis-aware decision logic to guide choices under conditions of urgency. Second, the circularity-potential concept would become more useful in practice if expressed through a transparent and auditable calculation. Together, these additions would strengthen the operational value of the framework for post-disaster reconstruction in Ukraine and beyond.
