Ann-Sophie Rinne, research fellow and associated PhD Student at the IEE, attended the 100th annual conference of the Agricultural Economics Society (AES), which took place at Wadham College, Oxford, from 23 to 25 March 2026, and presented an academic poster.

As the conference celebrated its 100th birthday, it took place in the society's founding venue, and attendees were congratulated by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne herself. Ann-Sophie presented her research on Giffen behaviour in the Poster Session. Her work raises the question of whether Ugandan households show Giffen behaviour and if this behaviour is observable using household surveys.
