Short Profile
Natalia is a PhD candidate at the European Joint Doctorate ADAPTED hosted by Ruhr-University Bochum and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She holds two postgraduate degrees: MA in Politics and Security (cum laude) from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and interdisciplinary LLM in Politics of International Law (cum laude) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Before joining IEE and the ADAPTED programme, Natalia worked as a consultant in human rights for the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, engaged in gender mainstreaming for the UNDP Gender Programme in Kyrgyzstan, interned at the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. She has also completed her research fellowships at George Washington University, USA, and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, Norway. Her PhD research focuses on rights-based approaches to social assistance paying specific attention to accountability mechanisms.
