IEE Newsletter No. 22
Newsletter 22 graphicneuWith an eventful year coming to a close, the 22nd edition of the IEE newsletter reflects on the institute's activities in the past six months. Of particular interest are the 4th PhD Conference on International Development and the Urban Food Plus Summer School, two recent successful academic events organized by the IEE. As we like to communicate our research outcomes and ideas, not only at such congresses, but also to the readers of the IEE Newsletter, this issue also includes a number of contributions, summarizing the research results of a PhD project, recent activities of research cluster 2 and the latest publications of IEE researchers. In addition, you can read about recent developments in our study programmes and learn about the experiences of our students. Apart from looking back on the activities and experiences of the last months, we give you a taste of the events to come, including the start of the German-Arab PhD programme, and the start of the MERCUR Project's first field research period. Enjoy the read!
